How come people seem to feel sorry for Cho but hated the Columbine shooters?

Seems kind of weird to me.

How come people seem to feel sorry for Cho but hated the Columbine shooters?
Some people feel sorry for him because he had a serious mental illness. He was also declared mentally ill somewhere in 2005. So he probably didn't have full control over himself. In other words he might not have known what he was doing. Now the question would be, is it Cho who did this terrible thing, or the evil person inside of him which took him over that did this thing, which he called "Ishmail Ax"? It's hard to answer this question. I think Cho is just a victim of his own. He was sick in the head, especially after you read those stories he wrote.

They should have locked him up somewhere, he would have been much happier, since he seemed to live in his own mind/world anyways. Society was clearly not a place for him.
Reply:Who in the heck feels sorry for Cho?? I haven't heard anything about that....
Reply:Im sorry, who has sympathy for this guy?!!!
Reply:Cho.......sorrow? please..... The only people I have sorrow for is the peoples life's he has affected. Why couldn't he just kill only himself instead? Then I would feel sorry for him. As for the Columbine shooters, no one felt sorry for them because of the same reason. The only real difference is one was by himself, the other was a group. One was in a high school the other at a college, and the body count. Both are tragic and done by people messed up in the head.
Reply:I don't feel sorry for Cho.......???? If you've heard otherwise then we are becoming far too politically correct.
Reply:Like others are saying, I haven't heard anyone feel sorry for Cho. ..pretty much the opposite...that he was a weird, dangerous kid and that many who knew him were afraid of him.
Reply:I don't feel sorry for Cho -- I feel sorry for all the victims that he killed for no reason.

If he would have been taught to handle his emotions and feelings in a healthy manner, I'm sure all those killings would have never happened.

Same goes for the kids at Columbine. I don't remember the whole story but I'm sure they had a lot in common with Cho as far as being made fun of and not being able to handle anger properly.
Reply:Maybe because Cho was a complete loner who didn't have anyone AT ALL.

I would have felt a lot of sympathy for Cho and would have felt sorry for him if he didn't do what he did. I wish someone could have helped him before this wound up happening.
Reply:I feel sorry for Cho, his family, and those who were killed.
Reply:I don't know if I feel sorry for all of the shooters, but they were obviously some very disturbed individuals who took our their hate and disdain for others with extreme violence.
Reply:they hate Americans

why do they want to come to USA?

they should leave USA
Reply:Probably because Cho was alone and isolated but the Columbine shooters had each other to rely on for support and together chose to murder innocent people.
Reply:I haven't seen anyone who felt sorry for Cho. I know I dont, but I do pray for him as well as those he violently took the lives of.
