Is it bad to be a loner as a result of columbine and virginia tech and other murderers?

Are a lot of people scared of loners or introverts as a result. Are you scared of them.

Is it bad to be a loner as a result of columbine and virginia tech and other murderers?
I am one - and have been for most of my life.





To the best of my knowledge I have never done any harm to anyone, nor do I have any desire to hurt anyone.





The greatest mass-murderer I can think off, was Doctor Harold Shipman - a pillar of his local community.





The vast majority of people - loners, or socialites, are harmless, but I think that anyone with a gun in their hand is dangerous.





Guns seem to be very easy to get hold of these days and that is very worrying.

Reply:I've been looking at the case recently. Every upper/high school has people who seem to be like Eric and Dylan- moody - introverted- gothy, dark. Truth is that things ran alot deeper than usual florid teenage angst with these 2. They even talked about hating Star Wars fans for god's sake!











don't be afraid of the loner Emo types because 99 times out of 100 they are not going to slaughter their classmates.- Hell, I didn't!

I prefer keeping to myself,I always have.


With that said,I still believe in the inherent goodness of most people and I would never get too darwinist about society.
Reply:Many loners are shy people,so I'm not afraid of them.Of course there are the other types that are crazed killers in our midst,%26amp; unfortunately you can't tell them which ones they are.If a person is a loner,but shows signs of anger %26amp; not a good fit in society,yes, then I would be afraid %26amp; watchful...
Reply:People have different reasons to be loners, whether it being shyness, social anxiety, o'r plainly because they are happier alone. I'm a loner but i can be quite sociable when i am at work. It's really unfair to think that everyone who happens to be a loner is a phsyco o'r something. Those killers in the schools had serious mental issues.
Reply:I am a loner, and that is not a bad thing, but people fear me now. It is sort of like being a Muslim. It is a perfectly acceptable way of life, but now people think you have a gun and are going to use it.
