What's up with these school shootings in the last 10 years? Columbine, Virginia Tech, The Amish 1 & now?

A brand new one in Illinois? Is college that bad or are lunatics everywhere?

What's up with these school shootings in the last 10 years? Columbine, Virginia Tech, The Amish 1 %26amp; now?
The true people at fault here are the parents. Parents now refuse to teach their children the difference between right and wrong. So the children take it upon themselves to solve their problems through vengeance and jealously.

If parents would just raise their kids properly we wouldn't have these problems.
Reply:It's nerve wrecking to think that someone could walk into your class and just kill you. That's it...you're done. You're dead. I worry about things like this. I go to college and I hope that never happens to me or to anyone out there.

What really scares me is that if a shooting can happen at a college... it can sure as hell happen at a high, middle, or elementary school. I have a sister in high school, a brother in middle school, and another brother in elementary. I go to school about half an hour away from where they go to school. I try to protect them as much as I can, but I won't always be there.

My friend was shot in her left eye and now has to adapt to a fake one. Another friend was killed from a shooting. What has this world come to....

I agree with the girl that first responded to your question. Too many guns in America. ANYONE can have them.
Reply:BRAIN DAMAGE

The lunatic is on the grass

The lunatic is on the grass

Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs

Got to keep the loonies on the path

The lunatic is in the hall

The lunatics are in my hall

The paper holds their folded faces to the floor

And every day the paper boy brings more

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon

And if there is no room upon the hill

And if your head explodes with dark forbodings too

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

The lunatic is in my head

The lunatic is in my head

You raise the blade, you make the change

You re-arrange me 'till I'm sane

You lock the door

And throw away the key

There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear

You shout and no one seems to hear

And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes

I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

'I can't think of anything to say except...

I think it's marvellous! HaHaHa!'
Reply:Guns, Guns, period. And yes, because lunatics are everywhere, with Guns!
Reply:I support the 2nd amendment too.

They all seem to have been on anti depressants. The media likes to glorify everything about it. Makes me sick to watch 5 minutes of that Nancy Grace bull crap. Anybody notice that the last four major shootings happened in gun free zones. If they could have had a weapon they could at least have defended them selfs. What do we do, put some cops at every entrants to the premises? Metal detectors? Well that didn't work to great at the Red Lake, MN shooting. He blasted the unarmed security guard at the door and went along his way. We could give all the guards guns, but then they would hide behind trees like at Virginia Tech or Cars like at columbine until the shooter kills himself. So we can't put cops with a MP5 at schools like the Brits. That would be unethical and expensive. We can't afford to pay for our present nanny / welfare state as it is. The economy has been in the toilet for the better part of the last 10 years. They probably show them to distract you from this fact. We let our selfs become dumbed down by all these "Owe my balls!" tv shows to the point that if Britney Spears is smoking a cigarette outside her house we get five hours of commentary accompanied by a helicopter view. When a presidential candidate with a real plan and principal runs he gets a 30 second sound bite, and eventually nothing at all. It wasn't the music, movies, video games or tv shows people loved blaming in the 90s. If its because the guns, its because nobody who got shot had a gun. But besides all that, you got to ask your self when they have all been on anti depressants, "Those pills didn't work, now did they?" Really the blame only falls on the person doing it. Maybe aided by bunk meds.
Reply:It's true all of these shooters are on medication. That's the thing we should be looking at.
Reply:99.9% of people who own guns never shoot them. They have them for protection or perhaps just like to collect them. If someone wants to kill bad enough, they will find a gun or guns. No gun law will protect you from someone who really wants to commit murder.

The fact that these carnages are occurring more often than not in educational institutions is sending out a strong message that all is not well in our "ivory towers" that once promised good futures and prosperity to graduates. They are becoming war zones.

Just look at all the people who graduate and spend their life savings on it and can't find a job paying more than minimum wage. Who in their right mind would send their kid to such a place?
Reply:Any non American and some reasonable American citizens would say : Gun Laws. You and I can expect so much hate responses from those who come up with the 'It's my right to own a gun', 'You can pry my gun from my dying hands' types etc.

Access to guns is the major problem. It's so easy over there. I have a bad day, I get P'd off and eventually settle. Over there some nutter gets P'd off and grabs a gun to make people suffer like they are.

The one word: PATHETIC
Reply:Too many guns in America.
