Why did the two students who were responsible for the Columbine attacks choose to kill and harm people?

In their journals, the two students (whose names escape me) spoke about their elaborate plans to shoot people at school. But why did they do this? They did not really provide a motive nor an explanation. Was it revenge for feeling like outcasts? Was it revenge for their previous arrest?

They were victims of bullys from what I remember and they eventually lashed out. I guess you could call it revenge.

Reply:It is a sad , sad world we live in today. I see what you are saying. You would think people would have to have motives in order to create such heineous crimes, but alas, people kill just for the thrill of it. Like watching a horror movie or playing a video game . I look at the video games some gamers are playing and I am horrified that they would even consider it( Playing the game) In time video games and real life can blur I think and some people today dont know the difference between real life and imaginary life. Imaginary life is role playing on games. I wish the people who create these games which show people getting killed would quit creating such games. I wont even go to any of these kind of games.
Reply:wow..k im not sticking up for this kids...but harsh man... they were most likely bullied and tortured by their peers eventually messing them up pretty darn bad. once you go through what theyd gone thru ud be different too. so they took their revenge... all the hatred and anger they had built up inside them..well they just let it out...hopefully theyve been thru counseling and are now mentally stable.... and satan had nothing to do with it so dont relate it to him OR manson because neither had any influence.
Reply:They had been bullied cosntantly and unmercifully throughout the year. they chose to " take out" the bullies and anyone they thought supported them.
