What is it about the 3rd week in April? Oklahoma City, Waco, Columbine, and now Va Tech?

I never even noticed that.....WOW, good looking out.I have no clue, btu that gives me something to try and figure out:)

What is it about the 3rd week in April? Oklahoma City, Waco, Columbine, and now Va Tech?
It all coincides with the tax deadline. It's a government conspiracy. Death in taxes.

That's my lame attempt to bring some light-heartedness to a very gloomy tragedy.
Reply:People didn't get the refund they were expecting from their taxes.
Reply:I was wondering that myself earlier. It's really disturbing. Too bad we can't just get rid of the whole week and be done with it.

I am also wondering if approaching final exams didn't have something to do with it at as well. Maybe he was in danger of not graduating?
Reply:it is scary but I think they are all copycats. the thing is though you never know when stuff like this is going to strike.
Reply:I do not know crazies copying each other I guess.
Reply:April fools.
Reply:Found crap in their easter baskets?
Reply:I hope just coincidence.....
Reply:I was the first forensic photographer on scene in OKC. According to testimony at his trial, Timothy McVey blew up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on the 2nd anniversary of the end of the Branch Davidian siege in Waco to make a statement. Those two events are connected. And why was Waco on April 19th? The siege began in February 29, 1993. What prompted the government to move in April...and what prompted Koresh to respond by murdering his followers? Chance. Pure dumb chance.

Columbine occurred on April 20 and there has been speculation that Harris and Klebold were looking to capitalize on the April 19th date, though that has never been proved.

Virginia Tech? Investigation is now indicating that the shooter bought at least one of his weapons back in March. What event triggered the shooting yesterday can't be known at this point.
Reply:If you are looking at a disturbed person who wants to make a grand statement, then they tend to gravitate to certain dates. Some types of mental illness cause people to fixate on dates. Oklahoma City was claimed by the killer to be a responce to the Waco incident. Columbine was also at one time thought to have a tie to these in that the boys had a fixation with the events. It's too early to say but perhaps the time frame did play a part in his attack on the campus.
Reply:hmmmm that is pretty strange, are they copycatting each other's dates or is it just a weird coincidence???
Reply:Yea its crazy! and sad:( my boyfriend goes to central high in SD and he sed today the schools are in lockdown bc someone brought a gun to school... i dont understand how someone can do that...its horrible...
