How can we prevent from school shootings?

I just saw the news saying 22 people are dead in Virginia Tech today. About 7 years ago, 12 students and a teacher got killed by two students at Columbine High School, which is located at Littleton, Colorado.





How can we stop this killings at public, especially at schools?

the columbine shooting was because of they way the two boys were treated by the other students. they decided to get revenge by shooting fellow students and take their own lives. schools need to become more strict on their policies, and not allow such abuse to happen between students. some will grow up without letting the abuse really get to them and others will go psycho and kill everybody.





i dont understand how anyone can push someone so far that they resort to murder.

Reply:Schools are shooting galleries because they are gun free, no one to stop them once they get started. Note the ones who will disobey the law will always have a gun with gun laws
Reply:The answer to make guns illegal is not the answer, if that meant anything then get rid of all cars, there are 46000 killed on hyways everyyear..





It makes about as much sense as to say close all schools then there will be no more school shootings....





A much better solution is to have family values returned...mom and dad are so interested in material things the family is forgotten..raising children like they are the house pets...

Reply:Gun safety, and the proper steps being REQUIRED in order to get a gun. Other than that, just look for the warning signs, whatever those are. Its so impossible to tell which students/people are troubled because of medications, etc. Any one person who seems normal one day because of their medication could be completely bonkers the next because of not taking it. Its a scary world we live in, but its the way it is. There needs to be procedures to minimize the casualties when these sort of things happen, yet unfortunately there really is no way to stop them. Its a scary world to be bringing a child into...almost makes me think twice....scary stuff...just horrible...i feel for the student's families.
