Did America Create a 'Columbine Generation'?

There's something called vicarious traumatization. This phenomenon seems to suggest that being repeatedly exposed to other traumatic events can have a negative impact on a particular individual. There are at least some preliminary data that say that even though you weren't there, by witnessing it on television or knowing someone that was involved, you can in fact become traumatized at varying levels. I think there's a cumulative effect, and if we don't talk about things the way we should, our future generations could continue to experience more of these events.

Did America Create a 'Columbine Generation'?
In world war 2 it was called shell shock , it means the same thing. I don't think its America as much as I think it is a lack of parental influence , everbody is so busy that they don't have time to raise their kids with a sense of compassion , or a sense of belonging . falling through the cracks and acting out for attention , sometimes small things like keying a car or extreme things like a shooting rampage at school
Reply:maybe, i'm not too sure
Reply:I can see the logic behind it.

A comparison of the 60s and early 70s might answer a few questions.

How many traumatic events were broadcast on television then compared to columbine like shootings then to the same today?
Reply:The dehumanisation of modern society, primarily to fulfil the needs of industrialist and the economy. Man is no longer created to think, but to work, be a productive and profitable member of his nation. Satan's lucrative Hell.

The economy must prosper to feed clothe and house the population. In the absence of Love, the people are utilised as mere fodder, as workers for the production of prosperity.

Capitalism with Conscience.

Possible and Achievable. However the powers at large have adopted the GOD stance and in the absence of any respect or reverence from a very vocal, ignorant and acerbic population, encouraged to anger and voice dissent ion towards God by a hugely profiting media, all in the cause and name of free speech, the hell goes on.

In days of yore the censorship boards kept a vigilant and watchful eye upon the antics of those in power. Alas all boards are disempowered and disbanded. Lawlessness.
Reply:Absolutely!!! Americas obsession with guns and violence has defined its culture
