Parents and generally people without any real reasoning will point to raunchy pop culture. I have personally worked stage setup for Marilyn Manson, and even though I never really listened to him before, he was the most polite, down-to-earth musician I have ever met doind concert security and stage setup. He is kind, gentle, and was very concerned when one of us got hurt. He, as a person, is much nicer and mature that most adults I know of whom have no manners or sympathy for others. I still do not agree with many things he puts into music, but I will always think of his personality and kindness as a role model to other adults who are pushy, rude, and selfish.
Reply:Whenever anyone under the age of 18 does something horrendous, people look for an external source of blame, instead of internal (such as poor parenting and/or deep psychological problems) and after those boys killed themselves and there was nobody else to blame, they had to pick the most hated target, Marilyn Manson. Most of America didn't know who KMFDM was at the time but they did know who Manson was, so he was the scapegoat, so to speak. Complete ignorance.

Reply:OMG! I was talking about this, this past weekend. The media blamed him cause he's music is 'violent' and promotes 'violence and hatred'. This pisses me off cause the killers didnt listen to MM, infact they didnt like him. But they still blamed him and stoped the sales of Mechanical Animals as punishment. Not only did they blame MM but they blamed video games such as Final Fantasy and Doom for this incident. Watch Bowling for Columbine and you will learn more about this.
Reply:It's because the lyrics in the song's (if you have listened to ramstein or marilyn manson) the words are about going into a group of people and blowing other people up! It's sick!!! They were demon possessed. And thats the truth
