Why if the Columbine killers wanted to kill masses of people, did they not kill everyone in the library?

I heard they planned on blowing up the cafeteria to kill atleast 400 students, but when their bombs failed, they decided to go on a shooting spree; if so, why did they not kill everyone in the library, because I heard they just left some kills alone?!

Why if the Columbine killers wanted to kill masses of people, did they not kill everyone in the library?
heres what happend:

They planned to set off a bomb in the cafeteria. the library was above the caf, and the cops said the bomb had enough power to killl everybody in the caf and take the library down on top of it, killing virtualy everybody in that area of the school. The bomb, thankfully, did not detonate, so the guys went through the grassy knol where they shot at ecerybody they saw, then they enterd the school, and went up to the library, i believe that they killed most of the ppl there. they TRIED to kill everyone there, but most were wounded. sources say that most of the survivors from the library busted the window and jumped out, all of which were able to run to safty

so they tried to kill everybody, and shot at them, but the guns and their accuracy just ended up with a bunch of wounded people. before they could finish the job, many people had escaped out of the window. plus cops were ariving so the shooters might have been a little distracted as well
Reply:Even to a psychos like these two, it is tougher to kill a person face to face with a gun than to set a bomb to blow up and kill hundreds.
Reply:Who knows why they made any of their decisions?
Reply:Maybe some of the students they didn't kill in the library had been kind to them at some point, or they had some other reason to have mercy on them. Also, a lot of students played dead, so they may not have known for sure.
Reply:bad planning
Reply:At Columbine High school in the library I beleive it was not many people who survived, the ones who survived in the library where very lucky. I think the boy's name was Mark Scott maybe Mike, he survived and had to watch his best friend die beside him, most students ducked under the tables, some behind shelves and such. They didn't intentionally leave any alive, the ones who did had god on their side.
Reply:Maybe they were targeting certain people. 'Cuz when I was watching the movie, Bowling For Columbine a girl who was in one of the rooms said that one of the killers pointed a gun to her head and asked her if she wanted to die and she pleaded and said no. Then the killer instead turned the gun on the boy sitting next to her and shot him in the head and he did so because he's black, may he rest in peace.
Reply:I don't think they really had a solid plan of exactly what they wanted to do, and in a general aspect...i think they like having control. They also asked plenty of students questions while holding the guns at them. They probably like having the power to take the students lives if they wanted to after asking them these questions; it probably made them feel "god-like" since they were such loners and so powerless in real life.
